IMPORTANT: Regarding first post moderation

Since the beginning of S&C I have always had the first post be under moderation (with the requirement of making the first post in the Introductions forum). I have decided to reconsider this and if there are enough votes, will remove it entirely (as there is some belief that it is the reason why my board isn't active).

This will render the group Newly registered members useless and put those who just joined in the Members group instantly, which gives access to far more features than the Newly registered members group.

The reason I had the first post moderated was to curb spambots and prevent newbies from gaining access to nearly all features right away. I wanted newbies to make an introductory post of themselves before they can get access to more features.

Choose your vote wisely.

Just noticed that new users posting in Introductions forum still need their post approved. I don't know how; I set the permission so that they can post without approval.

If I don't figure out what's wrong, I'm going to disable the New Users group completely.

Have you tried using Permission Masks to see where it's stopping them from being able to post without approval?
