Stem Changing Verbs

For verbs ending in -ar and -er, the same change occurs in the stem vowel in the subjunctive that occurs in the stem vowel in the present tense. The stem vowel does not change in the nosotros and vosotros forms.

e → ie
o → ue

pensar

For verbs ending in -ir, e → ie and o → ue except nosotros and vosotros (e → i, o → u)
