Why do you want to become a global mod?
I want to become a Global Moderator now, because I think that I have the correct experience level and I want to help evan more. Instead of being a Moderator, I want to take a step up to Global. I also have a lot more experience now than I had when I decided to join here.
Are you a mod/admin of another forum? - This is another thing that I am pleased to add , I have just recently left a forum that I created about a popular video game, I didn't excpect it, but 1,250 members joined and I am very proud of myself, I handed it over to the co-admin (I wanted to move on). Now I am about to be promoted to Moderator at another popular forum with 4,438 members.

If you are moderator, do not apply to be a global moderator. If you wanted to be global mod you should have applied for global mod, not mod. Anyways, you ARE able to be PROMOTED to global mod when I see it fit for you to be promoted.
you must have missed this...
HOWEVER I am pushing this aside only in this situtation as you have earned my respect enough so that I will just promote you anyways
