Factoring trinomials
A trinomial is a polynomial with 3 terms. The degree of this polynomial must be '2'. In other words, there must be an exponent of '2' and that exponent must be the greatest exponet.
Examples:
3x² + 2x + 1
7x² + 4x + 4
5x² + 6x + 9
These are NOT trinomials
3x³ + 2x + 1
this is not a trinomial because there is an exponent that is greater than 2
2x + 4
this is not a trinomial because there is no exponent of 2
